Terms of Use

Welcome to GroupLoop. By using the app you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

1. The Loop membership

The Loop is an optional membership that unlocks additional layers of GroupLoop (such as Spots, Flicks, photos and Who's Around). It is sold two ways:

• Auto-renewing subscription (monthly or yearly), purchased through Apple's App Store. Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation. The subscription renews automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel it any time in your Apple ID settings. Refunds are handled by Apple under its terms.
• Founding Membership, a one-time purchase (through the App Store or grouploop.app) that grants The Loop for life plus a permanent founding badge. Limited to 100 members in total. It does not renew.

During any free period we announce, every member has full access at no cost; purchases made in that time extend your membership beyond it.

2. RealCred

RealCred are points earned by using GroupLoop. They are never money, never convert to cash, and have no value outside the app. They may be redeemed for things GroupLoop offers, under rules shown in the app, which may change.

3. Your contacts and your content

With your permission, GroupLoop uploads your phone contacts to its servers solely to match you with people who also have your number. Contacts are never sold or shown to other users. Content you add (photos, reviews, lists) is visible only to people you're mutually connected with. You grant GroupLoop the limited license needed to store and display it inside the app. You can delete your account and everything in it from inside the app.

4. Acceptable use

• Don't use GroupLoop in a way that harms the app, other members, or breaks the law.
• Don't scrape, harvest, or extract data from the app.
• Don't post content that is unlawful, harassing, or that you don't have the right to share. We may remove content and suspend accounts that break these rules.

5. Intellectual property

Other than content you own, GroupLoop and its licensors own all rights to the app and its materials.

6. No warranties; limitation of liability

The app is provided "as is." To the fullest extent permitted by law, GroupLoop Inc. makes no warranties and is not liable for anything arising out of your use of the app.

7. Changes

We may revise these terms. Material changes will be noted in the app or on this page with a new date.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of North Carolina, and you agree to the jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Wake County, NC.
